Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam President and a former premier Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and senior central leader and former deputy premier Chaudhry Parvez Elahi have said the armed forces "deserve entire credit for the success of operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan."
"The officers and Jawans by offering sacrifice of their precious lives have set up such an example of securing the motherland against internal conflicts for which Pakistani nation will remain indebted to them forever and be proud of them, they said on the successful completion of one year of operation Zarb-e-Azb. The best way to pay tributes to these sons of the motherland is that people belonging to all segments of the society should always keep the great objective before them for which they have sacrificed their today. Today while we are paying tributes to Shuhda, Ghazis and injured of the Pakistan, the entire nation is also grateful to the people of North Waziristan whose sacrifices cannot be forgotten, they had fully co-operated with the army for the success of the operation leaving their homes along with their children, women and elders," they added. They also said, "Undoubtedly, the start and success of this operation reflected great determination and faith of Army Chief General Raheel Sharif for security and solidarity and also protecting our future generations from internal and external enemies for which his name will be written in golden words in the history of Pakistan, our eyes are shedding tears today in the memory of innocent students of Army Public School Peshawar and other Shuhda whose blood was shed only because they were patriotic Pakistanis."
